Important Guidelines
All Surrey Schools homestay hosts must follow the BC Homestay Guidelines and meet the district’s Custodian Requirements. These include:
- A secure, English-speaking household
- A private furnished bedroom
- Supervision appropriate for the student’s age
- Ongoing communication with the student’s school and custodian
- Adherence to all safety and care protocols
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the student needing to find alternative housing or a change in their enrollment status.
